چکیده

Although biodegradable polymers were widely researched, this is the first study considering effect of combined testing environments and cyclic loading on most important aspect related to additive manufacturing : interfacial bond between deposited layers. Its results give confidence in applicability material extrusion technology for biomedical fields , by demonstrating that interface behaves a manner similar bulk-polymer material. To do this, especially designed tensile specimens used analyse degradation 3D-printed subjected constant-amplitude incremental loads when tested air at room temperature (control) submerged 37 °C (close in-vivo conditions). The mechanical properties extruded filaments compared against bulk material, i.e. along filaments. In both cases, caused only negligible detrimental non-cyclic (less than 10 % difference ultimate strength), suitability using components applications usually exposed loading. For tests with constant amplitude, larger residual deformation (>100 greater) energy dissipation (>15 found solution as opposed laboratory conditions (air temperature), many studies. This may be due plasticisation effects water temperature. incrementally increasing amplitudes, vast majority happened last two cycles prior failure, polymer approached yield point. demonstrate importance an appropriate methodology applications; otherwise, overestimated. • Combined environmental factor studied polylactide. Less was Submerged plasticised PLA 50 reduction strength. allowed higher energy-loss

Numerical investigation of strain distribution during cyclic expansion extrusion (CEE)

Strain distribution of Al 1100 was numerically investigated during cyclic expansion extrusion (CEE) process using finite element method (FEM). Die angle, corner fillet radius and die chamber diameter were considered as die parameters and friction factor and number of passes as process parameters. The effects of these parameters were investigated on the effective strain and strain homogeneity in...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Characterization of Additive Manufactured Objects

Hybrid Layered Manufacturing (HLM) combines the benefits of both subtractive and Additive Manufacturing (AM). In this paper authors did characterization of AM components by using Kernel Average Misorientation (KAM), Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) and hardness tester. The main focus is on matrix integrity during Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) deposition and surface quality during machinin...

patterns and variations in native and non-native interlanguage pragmatic rating: effects of rater training, intercultural proficiency, and self-assessment

although there are studies on pragmatic assessment, to date, literature has been almost silent about native and non-native english raters’ criteria for the assessment of efl learners’ pragmatic performance. focusing on this topic, this study pursued four purposes. the first one was to find criteria for rating the speech acts of apology and refusal in l2 by native and non-native english teachers...
